Lighting Hope, Powering Safety: A New Dawn for Communities
New Kuchingoro IDP, Games Village, Abuja
The New Dawn Foundation carried out an outreach activity at the New Kuchingoro Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, aimed at enhancing safety and mobility within the community. Two solar-powered street lights were installed to address the camp’s lack of electricity and lighting, which previously hindered night-time movement and increased vulnerability to insecurity. The intervention directly impacted over 900 displaced individuals, including women and children.
