• NDFDP Outreach – Empowering Lives

    This outreach activity, held on December 27, 2024, at the Malaysian Garden IDP Camp in Apo, Abuja, aimed to promote primary health care and
    healthy living practices among women and children. The initiative reached 60 families, including 48 children, with a strong focus on the importance
    of childhood immunizations, maternal health, and hygiene. The session included a health and hygiene workshop, WASH demonstrations, and
    interactive discussions to identify pressing community challenges such as poor access to clean water, inadequate healthcare, and food insecurity.
    A total of 55 hygiene kits were distributed to participants, helping to equip families with essential items to improve their daily well-being.

  • NDFDP Oureach – Lighting Hope, Powering Safety

    The New Dawn Foundation carried out an outreach activity at the New Kuchingoro Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, aimed at enhancing
    safety and mobility within the community. Two solar-powered street lights were installed to address the camp’s lack of electricity and lighting,
    which previously hindered night-time movement and increased vulnerability to insecurity. The intervention directly impacted over 900 displaced
    individuals, including women and children.

  • NDFDP Outreach – Health Awareness, First Aid Training and Medical

    Abuja, Nigeria Abuja, FCT, Nigeria

    The Health Awareness, First Aid Training, and Medical Outreach was conducted to promote healthier and safer living conditions among internally
    displaced persons (IDPs) at Wassa IDP Camp. The outreach focused on empowering women and children with essential health knowledge and
    practical first aid skills through shared learning and demonstrations.

    Over 100 families were reached during the outreach. Key focus areas included first aid management for common emergencies such as seizures,
    snake bites, dog bites, maternal health issues, breastfeeding practices, family planning, and basic nutrition. The activity aimed to improve community
    resilience, reduce preventable health risks, and encourage responsible health practices.
